27-hole Course Onsite
Primarily known for its golf course, Palmares has 27 holes onsite designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Each loop of 9 holes known individually as Lagos, Alvor and Praia combine perfectly to ensure you have an unforgettable golf experience. The views over the Bay of Lagos are simply outstanding. The Praia 9-holes in particular takes you right down towards the ocean whereas Lagos and Alvor offer challenging loops with spectacular views. Due to this, Palmares is a unique mix of parkland and links which is very rare and really does make the course a favourite with visiting golfers alongside being one of our favourite courses in the Algarve.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Palmares Golf Club is also extra special with spectacular views overlooking the course and the bay to reflect on an enjoyable 18 holes. The modern design is striking with great changing rooms, stocked pro-shop and two amazing restaurants offering a choice of traditional and Michelin-star dining too. The terrace is the place to be and is very much the social hub of the golf course.
Palmares Beach House Hotel
Choose to stay onsite at the luxurious 20-bedroom boutique Palmares Beach House Hotel. You can literally walk from your stunning bedroom to the first tee in a matter of minutes. Spacious balconies are a feature of the hotel and they provide you with unforgettable views over the golf course and the bay. It is an adults-only golfer's escape, where you have the driving range only steps away, a great swimming pool, restaurant and bar alongside availing yourself of the golf clubhouse too. The hotel does offer the ultimate in serenity and you can combine the best of golf and a beach break in one. The beach itself is only 700 metres away.
