Opened for play in 1990, the course was designed to offer a stiff test for the lower handicappers, yet still be an enjoyable challenge the inexperienced players.
Rolling and tight tree-lined fairways on the front 9 call for precision off the tee. The greens are renowned for being fast and undulating and punish anything but a well-judged putt. The back 9 has more generous fairways, but strategic bunker placement and water hazards lie in wait for any wayward drives.
Despite being at the higher end of the price scale, San Roque Old course comes highly recommended to any keen or serious golfer.
