Quinta do Peru golf course
Quinta do Peru golf course is a 18 hole course located on the south side of the River Tagus from Lisbon and is within comfortable driving distance of Lisbon. Golfers have stated that the outgoing nine holes on Quinta do Peru are only beaten in their difficulty by the back nine holes. Quinta do Peru has been designed for amateur players but also for the requirements of some professionals.
The course is designed for the long hitter which is shown by the first three holes that presents a Par 5 of 473 metres, a Par 3 of 186 metres, and then a Par 4 of 368 metres. Still, in the first nine of the course the seventh hole which is a 178 metre Par 3 hole that has an attractive but inviting lake in front of its green. On the back nine the seventeenth hole again over a water hazard asks for an accurate shot from the golfer.
