Phuket Country Club
Phuket’s first truly championship golf course, Phuket Country Club is a great layout. It has a friendly resort-style feel to it throughout coupled with some challenging holes to add a bit of bite to the scorecard.
Like many of the courses in Phuket, the golf course takes full advantage of the varied terrain including forest and undulating hills. Water is more of a feature on the back nine. There are some quirky risk and reward holes too and none stand out more than the par 5 10th hole where, if you are long enough, you can take the direct route and try to make the 240+ yard carry to the green…fail and you are faced with following the natural design of the hole and it can be rather penal!
The course has been a firm favourite for many years and is a very good inclusion within your golf holiday itinerary in Phuket – this is where golf holidays started in this area of the world.
