North Berwick Golf Club
The West Links at North Berwick is a classic 9 holes out and 9 holes back links golf course, where you try to score on one and survive on the other. Bass Rock watches over you from the Firth of Forth, as you navigate your way across the slightly raised ground on which the golf course sits, offering spectacular views.
Regularly voted as one of the best golf courses in East Lothian, The West Links at North Berwick is a regular venue for Open Championship Qualifying. It showcases a mix of timeless links holes (the 18 is often compared to that of the St Andrews Old Course) along with some unique quirks. The approach to the 14th green is shielded closely by a wall, with only a gap wide enough for a golf trolley. There is also the signature 16th green with a dramatic gully right in the middle of your target. The 16th hole is overlooked by the Marine Hotel and Spa, giving the feeling of playing with a grandstand watching.
The club house is located just off North Berwick High Street, where plenty of bars and restaurants await.
