Moon Palace Golf Course
The Moon Palace Golf Course was created by Jack Nicklaus to suit the hotels' clientele and harmonize with the tropical lushness of Cancun.
The course can play up to 7,165-yards, with a par 72. There are the choice of four sets of tees and is lined with native jungle vegetation, natural wetlands and bunkers that have been strategically placed.
With 3 excellent loops of 9 to choose from (Jungle, Lakes and Dunes), there is great variation on offer at Moon Palace Golf Course. The Jungle and Lakes was the “Original 18” in 2002, with the addition of holes 19-27 at the Dunes in 2004 to give golfers holidaying in Mexico even more choice.
Highlights include: the signature hole, number 17, a 151-yard, par 3, that plays downwind to an island green; the sixth hole, a par 4 that plays 336 yards and is drivable, though has a fair carry over water; and the finishing hole 18, a strong par 4 that plays 446 yards.
