Monifieth Golf Links, Scotland

What can only be described as a hidden gem, Monifieth is a traditional links golf course situated just outside Dundee. It tests every aspect of your game but presents a fair challenge too. The location of Monifieth is excellent, it’s close to Panmure Golf club (another brilliant course) and Carnoustie too! It really is an excellent area of Scotland for golf. The added bonus is that it’s not too far from St Andrews too!

The course itself requires a round of accurate driving, a tidy short game and the mental strength to not get upset with a typical links bounce.

My favourite part about this course is that the par 3’s all require an iron shot into the green. So many par 3’s are too long nowadays but this should mean that you’ve got a better birdie chance (no guarantees).

Top tip for this course:  Play it in the middle of your trip – this should be a great chance to have a good score although the course is not a pushover! But it provides a very fun challenge and you’ll never come off disappointed.
