Lauro Golf Resort
Nestled in an environment of special nature is the Lauro Golf Resort, which currently has 27 holes, combinable from nine to nine, all par 72. The design of the complex is based on respect for the surrounding environment and nature, not only safeguarding the life of each and every one of the pre-existing centennial oaks, but also with the planting of thousands of young trees, mostly indigenous to Andalusia.
At the Lauro Golf Resort, preserving nature is very important. Throughout the complex the contact with it is constant, whether playing golf, living in the residential or simply enjoying a walk through the surroundings. Rabbits, ducks, partridges, herons and even eagles will accompany vsitors for much of the way.
The course was designed by Folco Nardi to make it technical but not too difficult. Concentration and the right choice of club is essential in any of the nearly fifty golf competitions that take place every year in Lauro. The expansion of holes 19 to 27, designed by Mariano Benítez, has followed this same course style that requires accuracy and skill. The course is relatively flat, although there are two holes located in the foothills that offer exceptional views over the Guadalhorce valley and the Mediterranean.
The clubhouse is located in an old Andalusian building, Cortijo el Paredón, featuring an excellent restaurant, dressing room, shop and office service. also located nearby is a swimming pool, paddle school, horse riding club and bowling club. But the best thing about the clubhouse is its fabulous patio, in the shadow of a huge centenary ficus tree, where players can relax after a good game of golf.
