Las Madrigueras Golf Resort

 

I had a short but very enjoyable winter golf break at the excellent Las Madrigueras Golf Resort. This is a small, exclusive luxury hotel offering classic elegance to its adult only clientele. Located in a peaceful location but close enough to the resort of Playa de Las Americas for evenings out, shopping and exploring.

 

Weather

Tenerife is widely known as a winter destination with average temperatures between November and March of around 22-24 degrees.

Temperatures in the summer are hotter but with a cooling Atlantic breeze ensuring temperatures of around 27-28 degrees.

Perfect golfing weather all year round!

Reasons to visit Las Madrigueras Golf Resort

For me the reasons are simply:

• The quality of the hotel
• Standard of the rooms
• Excellent service throughout
• The peacefulness of the resort even when close to capacity.

The hotel has only 57 rooms and suites so you never feel crowded, the Superior Room is the lead in Room type at between 50-60 square metres you are again offered more than some other 5 star hotels. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and offer minibar, safe, Satellite TV and wifi as standard. Ideally, golfers are allocated a golf buggy per room for the duration of your stay which is perfect as the Las Americas Golf Course is located on site and is a very short ride from the buggy park.

There are two restaurants - the Belle Vue and the Bogey which offer A la Carte dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Once more the level of service you will find is impressive.

Other facilities include a Spa and Gymnasium so those who wish to relax can do so while those of you with more energy can head to the small functional gym.

 

Golf Course

Las Americas Golf Course is one of the finest golf courses on the island and as a guest, the hotel offers preferential tee-times and with use of your golf buggy playing a few rounds is not a problem. The course itself is very nice and playable with excellent greens. It has hosted Ladies European Tour in previous years and a host of other national tournaments. It is a par 72 layout on gently undulating terrain and as standard you have a driving range, putting green, changing rooms and a very nice clubhouse offering a nice 19^th hole.
