Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club

Fortrose & Rosemarkie is the 15th Oldest Recorded Club in the World (1793) and this is evident in its classic links which was re-designed by the five time Open Champion back in 1932.  Located on the Chanonry Peninsula in the North of Scotland only 20 minutes from Inverness City Centre, it is surrounded on both sides by the Moray Firth which offers golfers breathtakingly scenic views where you can also see the water on each and every hole you play without having to ever play over it! Fortrose & Rosemarkie offers a real test with strategically placed bunkers that require some thought to ensure you avoid them. The greens are classic links design with subtle undulations which have a great pace to them and require maximum concentration. 

Measuring 6085 yards, Fortrose & Rosemarkie is protected in many ways by the wind where you will be playing true links golf shots if the breeze is up on the day.  The Moray Firth is home to the Bottlenose Dolphins who reside beside the links and you can see them more times than not whilst playing the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th holes.  Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Links is ranked at No. 47 in Scotland’s Top 100 Golf Courses (Golf World) and is also ranked at No. 30 in the Top 100 ‘Fun’ Golf Courses to play in Great Britain & Ireland (there are over 2,000 golf courses in GB & I).
