Donegal Golf Club
A classic and challenging links course, Donegal Golf Club is located on the Murvagh Penisula with fantastic views of Donegal Bay and towards the Bluestack Mountains. The Eddie Hackett design plays as two loops of nine and is said to be one of his best creations.
Thanks to Pat Ruddy who redesigned the course in 1992, Donegal now measures 7200 yards from the back tees but we recommend leaving those to the pro’s or low handicappers.
The course is over an hour from the city of Derry but well worth the drive and is an ideal course to play if you are making the drive to Sligo from the North or as a nice away day if staying in the Lough Erne Resort.
