Opened in 1891, the Royal Golf Club of Las Palmas is the oldest course in Gran Canaria and also boasts being the first golf course in Spain. Sometimes referred to as “Bandama Golf”, the golf course is located on the edge of Caldera de Bandama (Volcano crater), a few kilometres from the capital Las Palmas.

In the north of the island, just 6km from the city of Las Palmas, Golf El Cortijo has hosted many men’s, ladies’ and seniors’ PGA Tour Events.

El Cortijo Golf Course Description

A trademark of the El Cortijo Course is its large, fast running greens that mean a sharp short game and good touch with the putter is important. The fairways are lined with over six hundred century-old oak trees. A choice of six teeing positions per hole, offers great variety and difficulty for golfers of all levels.

The 9-hole New Course at Salobre Resort (formerly the North Course), was constructed in 2008 and was designed by Ron Kirby and has evolved extensively over the last few years.

The 18-hole championship golf course at Anfi Tauro golf opened in 2006 and covers an area in excess of 650,000m². Renowned golf course designers Von Hagge, Smelek and Baril have designed the Arizona-style course and are highly acclaimed for their challenging and innovative designs.
