Opened in September 2018, by the Duke of Cambridge, the V&A Dundee is the focal point of Dundee’s waterfront rejuvenation. The structure was designed by the acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, seemingly floating on the River Tay.
There are several varied temporary exhibitions, from Video Games, Mary Quant and Night Fever to name a few. Along with permanent features based on Scottish design and designers, both modern and historical.
This beautiful stretch of fine sandy beach is a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike. Overlooked by Broughty Castle at one end, the banks of the River Tay are a great place to unwind.
There is even a crazy golf course on the nearby Castle Green, should you wish to hone your putting game!
“Smoked haddock” to the man on the street, but this delicacy is one that put Arbroath on the map. The distinctive taste is produced by 15 local businesses, supplying a number of eateries and large retailers.
