Bonalba Golf Course Description

Accuracy from the tee and on approach shots is required if the Bonalba Course’s five lakes and tight tree-lined fairways are to be navigated successfully. The front 9 has its own “amen corner” at holes 7, 8, and 9, where many a good score has been ruined. The back 9 is the longer of the two, with strong breezes making it difficult to reach some of the longer par 4s in only two shots. The 7,000 yard Bonalba Golf Course makes for a great round of golf in any Costa Blanca golf holiday.

This Seve Ballesteros designed Alicante Course is located near the beach in Playa de San Juan just a ten minute drive from the centre of Alicante.

Alicante Golf Course Description

The Alicante Golf Course is built on flat terrain with generous fairways. Good course management is required to negotiate a number of water features that meander through the course. Its large flat greens are well protected by big bunkers, making accuracy on approach a must. Alicante is also fairly unique, in that its eighteen holes are evenly split with six par 3s, six par 4s, and six par 5s.

Despite being located in the centre of a town, Alicante Golf Course stands out due its beautiful natural park surroundings and water features. It has proven to be a popular choice for many planning a golf holiday in the Costa Blanca.

Distance From Course: 18 miles

The Levante Course at Villaitana is the championship layout at the resort and measures over 7000 yards from the back tees.  Visitors have a variety of tees to choose from and its a pleasant course to play as the fairways are fairly open if you avoid the bunkers.

There is usually a good breeze at Villaitana which helps to keep the temperature down and provides a challenge.  The course is a Nicklaus Design and the greens, like many Nicklaus courses, are always a challenge due to the undualtions and variety of pin positions available.

The Poniente Course at Villaitana is an executive course that measures just over 4000 yards and is Par 62.  Don`t be fooled by the short overall yardage as this is a great test of golf.  18 holes takes around 3 hours and buggies are included in your green fee all year round. 

The course is certainly no push over and comprises of par 4`s and a good selection of par 3`s.  Not many players play to their handicap on this course but it is great fun to play.
