The Marine Hermanus

 The seaside town of Hermanus is renowned for its whale-watching season which is June – December every year when hundreds of Southern Whales come near the coast to calve. The views are simply incredible, and you can see these huge whales directly from the seafront at Hermanus or alternatively, arrange one of the many boat charters locally.

Be sure to walk the Coastal path from the hotel across Walker’s Bay and take it all in. Hermanus has plenty of excellent bars, restaurants and café’s to explore and is a very friendly place to spend a few days. There are other great places to explore locally to ensure you make the most of this part of the Whale Coast such as Betty’s Bay and visit the resident penguin colony.

Golf wise, there are two great choices locally. Hermanus Golf Club and Arabella Golf Club are very close to the hotel. Hermanus has 27 very enjoyable holes and is a very good holiday golf experience. Arabella Golf Club is a great test with stunning views and is often ranked amongst the best courses in South Africa.
