Dining at Casa de Campo

When immersing yourself in the Casa de Campo way of life, you will quickly realise that the food is pretty much as important a component of your golf holiday, as the golf courses are. The dine around nature of the resort makes you feel like you are a resident of the estate, as opposed to a guest of a hotel. There are dining options aplenty, to ensure that everyone’s palate is catered for.

Teeth of the Dog

One of Pete Dye’s best designs and widely acknowledged as one of those must-play golf courses in the world. Teeth of the Dog is aptly named due to the wind really allowing the course to bare its teeth on many of the holes including 7 spectacular seaside holes which are iconic Caribbean golf holes with plenty of nail biting shots over water and all amount to a golf experience that is hard to replicate elsewhere. A drink at the 19^th to take it all in whilst overlooking the course is the perfect way to finish.

Caddy is mandatory here and a great help as you navigate your way round this fantastic golf course.

Dye Fore

Sister golf course of Teeth of the Dog and an equally spectacular design. With 27 holes and incredible elevation changes throughout, Dye fore is an amazing test of golf and a shot makers dream. The holes that run overlooking the Casa de Campo marina offer some of the best views around and some teasing golf holes. Playing back towards the huge river canyon and with the 16^th century Altos de Chavon as your backdrop as you complete your round – Dye Fore simply doesn’t disappoint and is more than an adequate course to challenge Teeth of the Dog. Many people rate Dye Fore as better than Teeth of the Dog – you can make up your own mind and let us know.

The Links

Reminiscent of traditional links courses typically found in the British Isles, these 18 holes wind through the interior of Casa de Campo and offer spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the Resort grounds. And even though The Links course might not be right beside the ocean, there’s still plenty of opportunity to go to the beach—no less than five holes feature water hazards. Rolling hills and ocean views offer an unique and fun golf experience.

Another Pete Dye creation, The Links was completely overhauled in 2012 to make it every bit as challenging as the other courses at Casa de Campo.

Getting around at Casa de Campo

One of the unique things about Casa de Campo is that every room and villa is given their own golf buggy, providing all residents the freedom to explore the resort as they please. This means you can nip along to the driving range to work on your swing, or just enjoy taking in your surroundings, whilst you drive around the famed grounds.

There are also resort shuttles that run regularly from the front desk, should you prefer.
