Belle Mare Legend Golf Course
Designed by South African champion, Hugh Baiocchi, the Belle Mare Legend Golf Course is located along one of the most superb beaches in Mauritius. Each of the 18 holes has distinctive characteristics and the superb fairways are laid in the heart of an indigenous forest, with brand new greens built to USPGA specifications.
Teeing off at the par 3-17th hole is a feast for the eyes and a test for the nerves: this championship golf course is set in the midst of a naturally beautiful site originally used to breed deer.
It also hosts one of the main events on the European Senior Tour calendar, the MCB Tour Championship every December, which is always well attended by big names in golf.
The resort is located in Poste de Flacq on the north east coast of the Island. It is a 60 min transfer to Sir Ramgoolam International Airport, or a 15 min helicopter journey. The flight time from London is 12 hours with direct flights from British Airways or Air Mauritius.
