Rising up the west face of the Teide Volcano, Abama Golf course was created by world renowned golf course designer Dave Thomas. The immaculately maintained 18 hole championship course contains over 300 species of subtropical plant life, including over 20,000 palm trees. Almost all of the holes Abama golf course have spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera.
With 22 lakes spread throughout the course´s ever changing terrain, as well as waterfalls and white sand bunkers, the golf course is challenging enough to test even the most experienced golfer.
The large greens provide an infinite choice of flag positions which, combined with the wide tee areas at each hole, make the golf course accessible to golfers with high handicaps, and a challenge even for the most experienced players on a golf break.
Electric buggies, equipped with a personal water cooler and a GPS system, provide detailed information about each hole and aid in the navigation of the ever-changing Tenerife terrain.
