Take a day trip from Tenerife to La Gomera by boat. On the way, you can experience the sight of whales and dolphins as the area forms part of one of the best whale-watching destinations in the world.
La Gomera is home to ancient forests, valleys filled with palm trees, deep ravines and crystal clear waters. And it is home to the fantastic Tecina Golf Course. Why not play a round of golf while you are there?
This course has some spectacular sea and mountain views in a secluded spot in the north-west of the island. Why not stay and play there? The luxurious Melia Hacienda del Conde Hotel, a luxurious adult-only retreat overlooks Buenavista Golf Course.
Buenavista Golf Course >A must-see while in Tenerife is Teide National Park. It has UNESCO status and is the highest peak in Spain at 3,718m. The best way to discover Tenerife is by car. You can get around the whole island in a day. Visit the colourful and narrow cobbled streets of San Cristobel de la Laguna, head to Santa Cruz - the bustling capital of Tenerife and enjoy the sunset in Los Gigantes.
Head to Playa San Juan for the day if you are looking for a more traditional Canaries resort. It’s an old fishing village close to Abama Golf Course and it has plenty of really nice eateries and bars.
